Characteristics and Purposes:
PE wax DR-1906 has high hardness, good particle shape and relatively concentrated particle size range, uniform molecular weight, easy dispersion, and excellent wear resistance.
It can be used in wood coatings, can coatings, etc., providing excellent slip, scratch resistance, and excellent transparency, and is used in coil coatings, with good high temperature resistance and solvent resistance.
It can be used for gravure inks and offset inks, and has excellent wear resistance and anti-sticking.
It can be used in powder coatings with different resin systems such as epoxy polyester and polyester TGIC, which can improve surface hardness, slip, and friction resistance, and have little impact on transparency and brightness.
Contents and Methods of Use:
In different systems, the additional amount of the wax powder is generally between 0.5 to 3%.
Usually by way of a direct high-speed stirring, it dispersed in solvent-based coatings and printing inks.
Through a variety of grinding machines and high-shear dispersing device is added, use the mill to grind, to pay attention, and to control the temperature.
Pre-dispersing treatment can be performed to prepare a concentration of 20-30% wax slurry, when needed to add into the system, thus reducing the time of wax dispersion.
